Now on our last night of a five-night stay. We’ve had a great time. The setting is amazing - the lodge is perched in the trees above a working farm that supplies much of the food for the resort, as well as sugar cane for the on-site distillery and cacao for on-site chocolate making. We made good use of the staircase and funicular rail car going up and down to the river. All staff have been friendly and very helpful. We took advantage of several tour offerings - a guided kayak on the river, a guided jungle hike, intro to birdwatching, and snorkeling. Guides Matthew and Andres were exceptional and generously shared their knowledge and experience of Mayan culture, birds, and plants. Our cabin is comfortable and clean. Love the screened-in deck with hammock. Food and drinks have been very enjoyable.
